To remove excess oiliness from your hair, rinse your hair with white vinegar or lemon juice.  Massage the scalp gently but firmly then rinse again.

Insect bites – stop that itch

To ease the itchiness and pain of insect bites, dissolve  1 teaspoon baking soda in 2 teaspoons water or white vinegar and dab on the affected area with a tissue or cotton wool.  Repeat hourly or as necessary.

Chewing gum in hair

The classic remedy for chewing gum in children’s hair was a pair of scissors and short hair! Probably more of a punishment than remedy.

But did you know that to remove chewing gum from hair  you rub peanut butter into it,   Olive oil also works.
