Inexpensive play
March 11, 2009 | Filed under About Children
Although there is wide range of toys available today, children are often very happy with some simple inexpensive activities.
Water and sand are always popular, and kitchen cupboards that are usually off-limits to very small people are always good for fun and noise.

Homemade play dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 to 1 cup water
1 tablespoon cream or tartar
1 teaspoon of oil
a few drops of food colouring
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and mix well on LOW heat then knead well.
Wait till it is cool to give to children.
Lasts a few days if you wrap in cling film and is edible for the littlies
