Household cleaners from kitchen products

April 16, 2009 | Filed under Cleaning hints and tips

How about baking soda and vinegar as your main cleaning products?

Add 1 tablespoon Baking Soda to ½ cup plain vinegar in a plastic spray bottle and fill with water.  Beware of a fizzy reaction!

Use to clean any kitchen or bathroom surface.

You can use baking soda and/or vinegar straight without mixing or diluting with water for cleaning the bath, shower, toilet or hand-basin and also kitchen surfaces.

However when used undiluted, make sure you rinse the surfaces well so you don’t leave any residue.

Baking soda and vinegar can react with some surfaces (especially plastic ones) and could cause corrosion.  So it’s safer to use a diluted mixture.
