Here’s an update on my original cheese platter post.  This one gives you step-by-step instructions in pictures.  The different cheeses are described by their country of origin but these varieties are being made in many other countries now and should be easy to locate in your supermarket or deli.

I’m getting ready to make another batch of Graham’s vegetable soup.  This has been a family favourite for many years.  The photo shows the range of vegetables that go into this tasty and filling winter meal – good for a dinner with crusty bread as well as for lunch.  Heats up well in the microwave at work too.

Microwave baked potatoes

You can bake potatoes in the microwave to get the same result as you get with oven baked potatoes. The cooked skins are softer that those baked in the oven and of course the microwaving doesn’t take nearly as long.  So this is a good way of cooking potatoes in a hurry. Read more
