Tidy computer cables

Thread your computer cables through an empty toilet paper roll or half an empty paper towel roll to keep your desk tidy.  You can paint thecardboard tubes or cover them with used wrapping paper to make the deak look more attractive.

Storing used paint brushes

When you are doing some painting around the house, put the brushes, rollers etc into a plastic bag and tie tightly to keep the air out.  The brushes and rollers will stay soft for use the next day or even a few days later.
