To remove tea or coffee stains

Fresh tea or coffee (non-milky) stains on washable fabrics can be removed with cold water.  Milky tea or coffee stains will need to be sponged with cold water and detergent.  Don’t use hot water on milk stains as you will harden the protein in the milk and set the stain.

Remove coloured stains on cloth nappies

If you have used an enzyme-based product and the stains have not shifted, hang the freshly washed nappies outside in strong sunlight, or overnight on a frosty night in the winter.

Remove grass stains from clothes

To get grass stains out of clothing, soak in a bucket with a strong solution of an enzyme based laundry detergent, then wash as usual.  Fantastic for white cricket trousers!

Remove mildew or mould stains from walls

To remove mildew (mould) stains from walls or the ceiling, apply a mixture of one part household bleach to four parts water from a plastic spray bottle.

Remove chocolate stains from clothes

To remove chocolate stains from clothes, If the garment is washable, gently wash in warm soapy water.  Chocolate contains fat and that will dissolve taking most of the stain with it.
