Ice pack for sprains

If you sprain your ankle or do some other muscular damage, put an ice pack on as soon as possible for 15-20 minutes and repeat every hour.  The ice lowers the temperature around the injured area and and minimises swelling.  A packet of frozen peas wrapped in a towel is a quick fix if you don’t have…..

Spring vegetable planting

Sunday was warm and sunny so it was time to get out in the garden and clean up the raised beds ready for spring planting of lettuces, brassicas (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage) and later this month when the cold nights have hopefully gone – tomatoes, zucchini, capsicums and aubergines.
